I did my reservation online and picked them because they advertised a particular unit as drive up accessible. Which I paid more for the convenience (where I intended to do first month $1). Get to the property the app was no help in direction or using touchless entry. Got Uhual sick in the wrong driveway and called and told no one could help once i got to the correct place my access code didn't work. once in my unit area smelled like urine. I found my unit to not be drive up access I had a medium usual with a cat dolly and the truck was too wide to fit thru area I called to have unit changed and was told I have to leave by 9 and could not get help to the following morning. After driving across country for 3 days I had no option Since my truck was due back. I left the supervisor a voicemail and haven't heard back
The staff at Public Storage at Walnut Hill/Story were phenomenal. They worked their magic and had me in a new unit in no time. Kayla is a superstar! She was sweet and genuinely cared about her customer and their experience. She would not have let me leave unsatisfied, and I appreciated her warm smile and thoughtful gestures. She's going to do big things with PS!
Kayla the district manager, speaks to you demeaning, and refuses to acknowledge anything that you’re telling her but then expects you to acknowledge everything she says. She will not give you any type of respect but should probably be humbled since she is the district manager of a storage unit, not a CEO. I say this with 100% disrespect. Make sure when you’re moving out, you get everything in writing. They’ll tell you they canceled your units, and then the next month they’ll charge you again, and refuse to refund you for their lack of communication/slip up’s.
Sales department is quick to sign you up but customer service otherwise takes forever and sometimes comes off rude. Property manager is nice but usually doesn’t answer, have to leave a message for return call which is an inconvenience if you don’t have time to wait by phone. Storage light in hallway we’re out for months. There’s no cart available to help move items. Cost doubled in short time and no options to prepay for locked in rate at this time. I will be changing my storage have not had a great experience with public storage and this particular location.
Derrick was very professional and courteous. And he was especially helpful and took care of my renting needs. I would give him 10 stars if I could.
Soooooo why does Google show opened til 9 but at 6:20pm, the elevator isn't working and all the doors are locked?!?!? Some of us work a normal job and don't get off til 5pm causing us not to make it to our storage we're paying over $300/mth on until after 6pm!!! We've been working in downsizing our stuff so we can move to a smaller space bc their charges for this terrible location is outrageous!
