ZERO STARS. My mother and stepfather were renting a storage at this location for the past 4 months. Today, we visited the storage to clear it out and we found rat feces/droppings all over her belongings and on the floor of the unit. It was disgusting, but we went to a store and bought some bleach, gloves, lysol. We had to clean every single item before we could load it into our vehicle. After cleaning the unit, we went to the office to bring the rat feces to their attention. We told the office attendant what happened. And she claimed that it was impossible that rat droppings could be in any of their units, because no one else has claimed so. We showed her photographic and video evidence. While barely glancing at it, she tells us it must us we brought rat droppings with us to their unit. How disrespectful. My mother literally wanted to throw her belongings away upon seeing rat feces all over her stuff. I had to convince her that it could be cleaned. There is no way she brought rat infested belongings to that unit. That is impossible, plus my mother visited the unit in November, there were no droppings at all. After she refuted the photographic evidence, I left the office because it’s useless to go back and forth with someone who is rejecting the evidence of their OWN eyes. After in i left the office , she told my mother that she said we brought rat droppings with us to their container was because I had an “attitude”. Apparently I’m supposed to be all smiles while she refutes evidence and basically called us “dirty”. She offered no sincere apology or resolution, only disrespect and a flippant defensive attitude. Please do not store your belongings here. Save yourself.

We went in to Columbia Self Storage on Leesburg Rd to inquire about some units and Summer, the young lady who helped us, was absolutely wonderful. She patiently took us around to tour the facility and answered all of our numerous questions. We toured another company’s storage location that same day which was actually closer to our house, but we still decided to come back to Columbia Self Storage to rent a climate-controlled unit because we were so impressed with their facility and staff. Christina helped us that day with our rental paperwork. Thank you to Summer and Christina for such friendly and professional customer service—it was a wonderful experience all around!!

They are very overpriced compared to other companies, and the short time I was there my unit got flooded out, and I had clay on the bottom of everything that I had stored due to a drainage. Issue immediately removed everything and Canceled my contract. I had a chance to file a claim, but didn’t feel like the hassle they could at least gave me a couple months free but they claim it wasn’t there Problem. I wouldn’t recommend, but if you want to take your chances to go ahead

From the first moment, we were greeted and shown care. All of our questions were answered and we felt comfortable. The units are in great shape! I love that they offer climate controlled spaces. Highly recommended!
