My last call was handled expertly and efficiently. She even offered to combine my 2 accounts into 1 which has helped me.
Couldn't get into locker for 1 full day because no one but the last person I.spoke with bothered to tell me that my locker number wasn't 186 but I86. I kept saying one eighty six and it was actually I eighty six.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Dealing with this storage facility has been an absolute nightmare. I moved out in late-May. When I tried to close-out the unit they said that I had left boxes in the unit and would require a $250 dollar cleaning fee to remove them. When I told them that clearly someone had broken into my unit and that the boxes were not mine, they ignored me for two months. I've called them on 4 different occasions trying to get this issue resolved and have received no response from the facility manager. Yesterday I received an invoice for $750 for the two months since then. Please contact me to get this situation resolved.
I have used MyPlace since they took over from the previous owners. Communication with the company has improved greatly. I use several storage spaces and all are clean before moving into and are easily accessible.
Devastating Experience at MyPlace Self Storage – Camden, SC Storing my belongings at MyPlace Self Storage in Camden, SC turned into a nightmare. My entire unit was broken into and all of my valuables were stolen, despite the facility’s promises of “24/7 security,” “locked gates,” and “surveillance cameras.” Unfortunately, those claims are wildly misleading. The camera coverage is spotty at best, leaving large sections of the property unmonitored. And while the front gate appears secure, it can be easily bypassed, offering little real protection. To make matters worse, I attempted to contact the location manager, Paul, multiple times, but he couldn’t be reached. There was no response, no follow-up, and no sense of urgency whatsoever. I strongly urge others to look elsewhere. When you trust a storage company with your property, you expect it to be safe and the staff to be responsive. MyPlace Camden failed on both counts — with devastating consequences.
