We needed storage for my mother’s belongings when she moved out of her house to an apartment. We had a small unit but were able to store everything without concerns for temperature or water damage. We did have one concern. The staff addressed it immediately. They met us at the unit, assessed and quickly corrected our concern.

My first 2 month of renting was great. They did a price match on the unit which was a 10 x 10 climate controlled not hard or far to get to and for the price it was great.. My bill comes for this month and I got an email saying due to maintenance, The bill would be going from $90. (116 with tax) to now 208 (That’s not including the tax ) When I was told they price match (Which they did the 90$) and lock the price, I figured they meant the price wouldn’t change, especially the third month of having it..Having the price lock turned into being told that they don’t offer price locks, even though that was communicated to me over the phone during the initial process. It is clean, The units are nice, and I understand maintenance going up but almost a whole hundred dollars? With it only being my third month there. (when I was told price lock ) If I had the rate off of cleanliness accessibility, I would definitely give it a nine out of 10. If I’m rating off of overall experience and communication and pricing Definitely a two out of 10.

Hi! I wish to inform anyone thinking of renting from here. My first couple months was great no issue good service now they're trying to describe to me a rent increase from $65 to $114 with no adequate explanation as to why. Now I don't write reviews, i stay quiet about a lot of things but blatant robbery because obviously you're holding my stuff so you assume you can just price hike because of it. I just got off the phone with a customer service rep who was just doing his job but morally comprehended my stance. I will be contacting someone in a higher position who will provide documents stating that a random price hike is within the terms and conditions that I signed. Now I went to this facility in good faith, even gave them a 5 star rating in my first month but now, hopefully I can erase it. If you would've told me to my face that this was inevitable then I would've respected that more because it was my choice but a wolf in sheeps clothing is your true identity. I want everyone to know and to not rent from this place, they are crooks.

The location and ease of access is great. The only problem I have is a big one. I’ve only paid for two months and I got an email that they reviewed my rate and they’re raising it. I now have to pay $50 more a month. So they hook you with a good rate, and once you’re settled, they jack it up.

If you are seeking short term storage (no more than a year) and can take advantage of a promotional rates then Prime Storage is a decent option. However, long term it is not as you will be continually subjected to ever rising rates. In one year alone my rate was raised 4 times. When I complained I was told my price was being adjusted to their current market rates. Well Prime determines that so it's not a real justification. My final rate was 170% higher than my initial one. While I appreciate increased costs it certainly didn't increase that much for me to retain my unit. What's arguably worse is their annual attempt to nickel and dime you via their insurance program. If you fail to provide an updated insurance document within a short window of time, perhaps you never received their email, then they add their insurance and you are charged for it. They also made the insurance requirements increasingly difficult. After several years they suddenly needed proof that my homeowners insurance was valid worldwide. When I relayed this to my insurance agent they told me that was a ridiculous request as all home and renters insurance policies provide such coverage. Finally, my unit was filled with dead bugs when I emptied it. I didn't bring in the bugs and most of my items were in sealed plastic containers. Yet I was required to sweep them out. I guess it could have been worse if they were alive rather than dead. Suffice to say I am glad I moved to a house with a basement and am now saving over $200 a month.
