Excellent Customer Service
I couldn't be happier moving my stuff to East Lansing Storage. I was recently storing across the street, but prices were high, and the service wasn't great.

I had originally looked at other storage facilities, but I did not appreciate the inability to reserve until one week before move in- ludicrous! So, I looked further. I then discovered East Lansing Storage. What a difference! They took my reservation one month prior to move in, Excellent communication, courteous updates and reminders and, finally, a personal touch of direct communications while they were under construction. I seriously could not be happier. My daughter (MSU student) handled much if the move in day communications. The onsite manager, Karen, is no less than awesome. Too bad more employees, managers or even people in general had Karenﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s work integrity. A building is a building. It is the people (employees) who make the difference. I also liked their location much better than those other facilities. I would highly recommend The East Lansing Storage if you are looking for a place to store your belongings. I thought their pricing to be quite fair/good for their units. Debate no more- go here!!

Brittani was such a joy to work with. I (thought… reading and following instructions is hard when you’re in a hurry) was having issues with my app, and she walked me through, step-by-step. She always works with me when issues arise! I have been in line while she’s helped other customers, and she’s always trying to make accommodations for the renters. The units are clean, staff is always friendly, and prices are competitive! I’d give 10 stars if I could!!!
Ryan FryThis is a great facility and they have always been available when I have questions. I have had a unit there for two years and I sleep good knowing that they have a secure facility. The ease of access to the unit and paying through app makes it far superior than other storage units. Highly recommend using East Lansing Storage for all your storage and UHaul needs.
Nicole RossI would never rent from this storage facility. They had a drainage issue and caused my items to be damaged with water/mold/mildew. My mattress, box springs, furniture and other items are ruined!!! I called and spoke to the manager and she said she couldn’t do anything about it. I’m very very upset. I asked them to right the situation but the manager said she couldn’t. I bought the Bader insurance from them but they didn’t cover drainage issues. I’m out for the storage costs-which they charged me for twice and about $2000. There was actual visual water spots and stains and rusting on the cement of my storage unit. Why would they rent a unit that leaks? I would never rent from them again and advise no one else to either. Very upset!!!!!

Mike Stewart9/2/25 Edit: 2 months after getting the unit my price went up $30/month from $169 to $199. That's $209 with the insurance. Planned on staying here for a year but I'm not paying $300 more than I originally agreed on for the year. Called and got disconnected twice. When I finally got through, I was told there's nothing that can be done. As far as the units are concerned, I haven't had any issues, but raising rates right after signing up is bad business in my opinion. If you intend on keeping your stuff here longer than a month, be warned. Unfortunate that I'll be needing to shop around and spend time moving stuff when I thought I found a good place. --------- Original: Friendly staff. She had 3 people at the desk 15 minutes before closing, and was working alone, but was still patient. The units are nice and clean. The place has cameras all around. The gate and units are controlled by an app which is nice. No need to fumble with a key or combination. I would recommend this place to anyone looking.
