I had such a great experience with this storage facility. They truly went above and beyond to help me, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. Dawny was AMAZING so kind, helpful, and patient. You can tell she really cares about her customers. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great service!
Do not waste your time with this place. They have terrible customer service. They are straight liars and thieves. I was given a rate that was supposed to be my rate for at least six months to a year. They send me a notice by email which they sent several emails and doubled my rate after four months. Didn’t bother to call send a message through the app. Text nothing which by the way they can correspond for any other reason but they’re just hoping you don’t see that they’ve doubled the rate that you started with. My storage space was barely worth the $33 that I was paying for it and they raised it to $63 for a 5 x 5 storage space that I can only get into from 6 o’clock in the morning till 9 o’clock at night. So my bill went from $33 to 85 because I got charged a $20 late fee while I was disputing why I’m being charged $65. They are absolute thieves don’t waste your time. I got suckered into Leaving a good review at first until all this happened and then I got to reading and seeing that they do this to everybody.
I've been a customer here for over a year. They used to have a helpful person on site or at another, nearby location that you could meet with and discuss options and any issues. Now it's just a call center which gives you the standard corporate runaround. If you ask for a manager, they give you a phone number for someone and you leave a message requesting a call back. Unfortunately that person will either never call you back or it will take days. The call center said to expect "48 hours" which is very frustrating if you need more immediate help. As of this writing, I'm still waiting for a call back from a message left a couple of days ago. BTW, the pricing model on these units is to give you a reasonable move-in price and then raise the price on the unit in subsequent months. Rate increases can quickly be like double the move-in price. That's just how they operate.
Edit: My monthly price had increased with no reasoning or notice. It went up an additional $23. I called TWICE and left TWO voicemails with no call backs as to why I was given no notice. I decided to put in my move out date as I'm not going through random price raises with no notice anymore or call backs. They ended up sending me an email with "3 months discount" back to my original monthly rate, HOWEVER, it only goes into affect starting next month. So, you're still going to take that extra money with no notice this month and offer me a discount later? No thanks, felt back handed as hell. If you want no answers and random price raises with no notice, you found the right place! I will NEVER return to this location. Karen was very helpful with finding the perfect unit!
Very friendly staff that do there best to help you out with any concerns you have while renting a space at the Canton, MI locations. Karen, John and Heather are the best!
