I went to US STORAGE in Middleton and I had the BEST experience! First of all right when I walked in George(Herrera) greeted me. And he was fantastic made me feel so comfortable . He showed me all the storage units I asked about. Not once did I feel rushed at all. He explained everything and answered all my questions. The service was #1 and the place is really clean. Definitely will be recommending them! Thank you George!

They went from like a 5 star experience to a 2 star experience with just one horrendous rate hike. $22 to $140 on a 10x5 unit (1st floor). WHAT THE HELL???!!! that's basically a SEVENFOLD increase!! IF YOU WANT TO STORE HERE BE AWARE OF 2 THINGS: 1. intensely fluctuating prices can lead to RIDICULOUS rate hikes (though they do give 30 days notice and introductory rates keep new tenants at the same price for 2-3 months, but then once that ends you're at the whims of fluctuating demand). AVOID STORING ON THE FIRST FLOOR at all costs as they don't go up as much on higher floors, better to deal with an elevator then a 7x rent hike or having to take all your stuff out at an inconvenient time. I think they warned me about this kind of thing when moving in but I never thought it would go up THAT much. 2. The customer service is generally useless unless you go there in person, the office is not open on Sundays, they didn't get back to me on monday and when you do visit they can frequently be busy/away since there's only 1-2 people in at a time. The email support is useless, it seems like there's no human responding and phone calls are just a roll of the dice. When you can talk to the manager Austin, he's great and will answer any questions you have but if you can't get to Austin you may be out of luck. The units are mostly clean but if you want them totally clean you might have to brings some cleaning equipment to clear dust or dirt stains. To get into the facility you need to enter a somewhat lengthy key code into a number pad which makes loading things in potentially inconvenient if you're alone but not a huge deal. I don't know if other places fluctuate like this but if you're budget conscious this might not be a good place to store.

I’ve had a unit at US storage for a while, and I recently expressed interest in upgrading to a larger space. Once Austin and George knew what I was looking for, they reached out as soon as a nearby unit became available, mindful of the work it would take me to move all of the contents from one space to another. The facility isn’t cheap, but in my experience, it’s been worth it to have a clean place for storage where I don’t have to worry about moisture or pests, and the customer service from the guys who run this location is truly top-notch. My one piece of advice— pay attention to the price increase notifications in the monthly emails so you aren’t taken by surprise when your auto payment amount goes up.

US Storage was amazing. Austin was extremely helpful—quickly finding the unit I need for my expensive furniture and art. He found me a good deal. Amazing customer service. The unit is clean, climatized and the best deal in town.
