I have had a unit with CubeSmart for six years now and I recently had an interaction with Lakesha Brown, she works at the West Chicago location, she was so kind knowledgeable, she helped me in more ways than one. She gave great customer service, actually outstanding customer service, and when you interact with someone with her customer service skills, it makes you want to continue to do business with cube smart, because she was compassionate and very genuine. She deserves recognition, plus! It was a long phone call and before our phone conversation ended, I was extremely satisfied, thanks to Lakesha Brown.

The process was simple and quick. Regina was very friendly and helpful. She answered my questions right away. I was able to access my storage unit right away. I like that you can drive up to the unit and unload your items directly. This is my first time using a storage option and it was a seamless, affordable and easy process.

Let me start by saying I've been a customer of Cubesmart for over 7 years at LEAST. They bought out my old unit which was Extra Space Storage in Mount Prospect. First, there was no communication. Only reason I found out Extra Space was turning into CubeSmart was when I received the bill from cubesmart. I used to be Seniored into 24 hour access at Extra Space at no charge. I was told by CubeSmart that access was going to continue, however it would be an extra charge. I said ok, I NEED 24 hour access due to my work schedule. Earlier this year the 24 hour access was revoked and was never given a proper explanation as to why. Fast forward to today. I have 3 units, 2 large and 1 small with them in 2 different locations. I'm going to focus on the West Chicago location. The units are pretty much falling apart. My current unit has a broken wall where you can see the rail of the door from the OUTSIDE. (I'll upload pics later) Secondly, pretty much EVERY SINGLE light on the property is burnt out. And finally, the exit gate has been busted for the whole summer. It seems like the company doesn't care much about this location since it keeps going downhill. And management seems somewhat rude. Anytime I've talked to them they seemed to be rushing to get me off the phone or out of the office. I've also noticed more and more units going vacant. I've started my search for a new self storage location due to these issues. Again, it's a shame that even though I'm paying a little over $500/mo for a couple units, that the property looks like this and management seems to not care.
