The various persons at the front desk...
The various persons at the front desk have always been very helpful. The back office sometimes gets things mucked up, such as a year or so ago when I added a unit to the one I had; the corporate office for some reason assumed I was getting rid of the first unit. I did do that some months later, but not at the same time. Bruce Deemer

Brittany helped me out a lot with all of my questions on my move in day to put my mind at ease. Very kind and informative while keeping a professional demeanor. They provided a lock at a hefty price to get me started but the refund process was simple and documented. I'm happy to have left the huge increases I was receiving at extra space storage.
Amanda HodgmanIt’s always something with this place. If it’s not the garage doors that are broken, it’s the elevators. Currently on site trying to access my unit on the fifth floor and BOTH elevators are out of service so I used the stairs, only to find that the stair doors are LOCKED! Customer service was useless, the property manager was MIA and now I’m screwed because I can’t access equipment I urgently need from my storage unit. And of course they keep raising the rent while the place falls apart. I would give this place zero stars if I could.
Michael Michael(1 Star) - Classic Bait and Switch - 947 W Van Buren St, Chicago Do not fall for the low introductory rates. . Less than five months later, they jacked my rate up to $255/month. In which they told me i was locked in until i change it. When I sent a formal complaint to their corporate office, they completely ignored it and just sent me an automated bill for the new amount. This is their business model: get you in with a reasonable rate, wait until you've moved all your stuff in, then hike the price because they know it's a hassle to move everything out. They're banking on you just paying it. I'm now filing complaints with the Illinois Attorney General and the BBB. Save yourself the headache and use a different storage company. Or at minimum, be prepared for your rate to nearly double within months of signing up.
