I had a great experience at this location. The facility is extremely clean, organized, and well-maintained, which made me feel very comfortable right away. The modern access through the app is super convenient and easy to use — it really makes everything smooth and hassle-free. I also want to highlight the staff, especially Dwight. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout the entire process. It’s clear they truly care about providing excellent service. Overall, I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a clean, modern, and well-managed place with outstanding customer support!

Going above and beyond in every way. We chose Extra Storage on Shepherd Road in Lakeland through a referral from a friend who has used this storage company in another location. We needed a safe, inland seasonal storage for my convertible. Having lost a car to a hurricane last year, we did not want to risk losing another in the event of a severe storm. Our conversations with Dwight were extremely reassuring. He listened carefully and answered all of our questions: safe location yes; best size for our car yes; good neighborhood and reasonable price, also yes. We prepaid the rental fee for an extended period, clear on all aspects of the contract. Dwight was very thorough and quick on follow-up for all our inquiries. About a week prior to us delivering the car, an inattentive driver ran into it causing quite a bit of damage. Challenging for us as we were flying overseas days after this accident. We coordinated everything with Dwight, asking the repair body shop to make arrangements to have the car delivered to the Lakeland storage. Again Dwight did everything possible to make this easy for us while assuring that the proper liability forms got signed. Months later when the car was delivered, he personally confirmed this to us via email. The same quality communications prior to our return back to Florida. Today we picked up our car, and we were extra pleased to see this big modern facility in a great location. And we finally got to meet Dwight in person! What we appreciated most about Extra Storage was the ease of connecting with a real person who could answer all of our questions. The facility is super clean. We know we’ll be back next year to store our car, hopefully without an accident or all the complexities associated with it.

I'm highly satisfied with the service I received at this Extra Space Storage. Dwight was accommodating, and he always took care of any issues i was having. He went above and beyond for me. The storage unit was clean and easy to access. I would definitely use this location again in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Dwight, the manager at Extra Space Storage. He is one of the most helpful and genuinely kind managers I have ever met. Every time I interact with him, he speaks gently and respectfully, always making sure that I feel comfortable and taken care of. What stands out the most is his willingness to go above and beyond to help. Whether it’s answering questions, solving issues quickly, or just making sure everything runs smoothly, he truly makes the whole experience stress-free. His customer service is exceptional—he treats every customer with care and patience, which is rare to find. Without a doubt, Mr. Dwight is the best manager I’ve ever come across.
