So I went to get some items from my storage unit on Thanksgiving day and was greeted by a sign on the keypad stating that the gate was broken so they were denying access until 930 Friday morning for security reasons. You're telling me that a multi million dollar company can't hire private security for 24 hours and keep the gate open?? This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I have used storage facilities for years and have never been denied access to the storage facility. I DO NOT write 1 star reviews but this is ludicrous. People need to know that Public Storage can just randomly lock you out of the facility for a random period of time on any random day when they clearly could provide security and let people have access to their storage units.

Streamlined processes, systems, sites, and tools and secured location with local (direct) support. Deborah at the 5910 E McDowell Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215 location was incredibly gracious and helpful with my departure yesterday. She immediately called me after having canceled online to confirm the move-out date and helped me save the entire month of November's rent by suggesting I change the move-out date to yesterday, else I would have paid for November if I would have checked out on the 2nd of November. Advertises climate controlled, but i recently went into my unit and it was pretty hot in there (almost 100 degrees) in there. In addition, they raised my rent FORTY DOLLARS a month. I am not sure how simple maintainance of a storage facility costs so much that you need to raise rent by that much. The units are dirty and have shoeprints ON THE WALLS 5-10 feet up, and crap on the floor, so, combined with the lack of climate control that THEY ADVERTISE, i really cannot fathom how they are using that extra money. Update: do not schedule your move out two weeks in advance like they say. I did, and the app immediately disabled my access to everything. I am glad i had moved my stuff out before but i paid for a whole month and didn't get thr full month.

After searching online for a close facility, I reserved a unit at a great rate and then drove to the office. Debbie was great, pulled up my reservation, took me right to the unit - it was clean and exactly what I was looking for. She even provided me a new lock at no cost. I've had a few storage units in the past and this was by far my best experience.

The store on McDowell and Recker is fantastic. The people are always very helpful. Andy at the front desk was very helpful to me. I highly recommend.
