Extremely disappointing experience with International Self Storage. I went to grab a small item from my unit and found that my gate code no longer worked—even though my account is fully paid and current. I had to wait around just to follow another customer in, only to discover a red lock placed on my unit, which is typically used for non-payment. The problem is, my account is in good standing. I haven’t been to my unit in months, so I have no idea how long they’ve had the red lock on it—without any notice or communication. On top of that, getting ahold of anyone for account-related issues is extremely difficult. I work Monday through Friday and only have weekends to access my storage, so being locked out of a unit I’ve been paying for is incredibly frustrating. I’ve attached invoices to this review showing proof of payment. The lack of communication, poor account management, and unresponsive customer service from International Self Storage is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Set up autopay to avoid being late, had the full $135 in the account, and they still didn’t process the payment. I called on May 2nd and was told they added a $13 insurance fee without asking—no notice, no explanation. That’s why the payment failed. I had to call to find this out, and the rep couldn’t explain anything. Until the $13 is refunded and this is fixed, this review stays up. I’ll update it once it’s resolved.

I've been renting units at International Self Storage for over a year now, and have recently added another unit. Pauline has been great to work with and has accomodated me at every turn. Tiyna has been good to work with as well. I've been and continue to be a happy customer!

From the moment I walked in, I was met with exceptional service and a level of care that truly exceeded my expectations. My first encounter was with Heath, who took the time to understand my storage needs. Despite my difficulty in visualizing the size of the unit I required, Heath patiently guided me through the options, using the analogy of the arctic entryway to help me grasp the dimensions. Despite my initial skepticism, Heath's attentive listening and unwavering patience made a significant impression on me. During the three months I utilized their storage services, I felt a sense of security knowing my belongings were in capable hands. The storage unit accommodated all of my items comfortably, and the facility's cleanliness and organization added to my peace of mind. Max, who assisted me both in person and over the phone with payments, was an absolute pleasure to work with. His professionalism and helpful demeanor were consistent throughout our interactions. Additionally, I had the opportunity to engage with another staff member, a woman whose patience, kindness, and sociability made every interaction a delight. Though my time with International Storage eventually came to an end as I retrieved my belongings, I am certain that when I require storage services again, this is the place I will return to. The positive experience I had during my tenure speaks volumes about the company's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. In conclusion, my experience with International Storage was nothing short of outstanding. From Heath's genuine care and patience to Max's professionalism and the overall sense of security and satisfaction I felt, every aspect of my storage journey was well-handled. I wholeheartedly recommend International Storage to anyone in need of reliable and customer-centric storage solutions.
