Very friendly couple that run the location. Climate control area was very clean. Security for entire area was beyond expectations.
This is the 3rd storage facility we used and it was by far the best! The property was always clean, ownership was not only quick to respond to questions but very helpful/friendly. I appreciated that they required us to have a specific type of lock and personal property insurance to protect us from theft/damage. If we ever need storage again we will use GMS Self Storage!
So far I am very pleased with this storage unit service. The owners have always been very kind and helpful. I was unsure which company to go with and feel I made the correct decision coming here. Whenever I go take a load to my unit I'm asked do I need help. I've called on different occasions asking general questions and they have ALWAYS been very kind. The area is always clean and seems to have good security. At this point I have nothing negative to say. Thanks for always being nice!!!
BEWARE: YOU’LLL GET ROBBED AND OWNERS WILL NOT CARE! My mother had a storage unit here for about 6 years. From my understanding it was previously owned by someone else. When GMS took over, they nearly doubled the monthly price of her unit. Still, she paid on time every month. Last month, my mother drove 13 hours (each way) to collect her belongings and move them to her new house. She got to GMS after renting a uhaul only to find that her lock was off her door and her unit was TRASHED. Upon further inspection, she realized most of her belongings were GONE. Her filing cabinet, her dishes, her furniture, her Barbie collection that she’d had for 30+ years, and just a ton of other stuff. GMS did nothing. They did not care. They do not care. The owners are rude and sketchy and don’t care that a nearly 70 year old woman was robbed of a lifetime of possessions. All she had left to remind her of her late husband, gone. GMS owners have varying stories. They claim this happened before they took ownership. If that’s true, and they knew there were break-ins, why didn’t they contact every single customer to let them know their unit may have been compromised and to have someone check on them? How on earth can you call yourself secure when customers’ locks are laying on the ground for who knows how long? Sorry, but something doesn’t add up. These owners should be ashamed of themselves. I don’t really care if they have a contract in which the fine print reads that they’re “not responsible” for stolen items. Your job is literally to store people’s treasured items and keep them SECURE. Failing to notify customers that their units may have been ROBBED is negligent and dishonest. Do not give them your business!
My husband and I utilized GMS self storage over the last year while our house was being built. Their customer service was outstanding and their facilities are top notch. All of our items in the climate controlled and non climate control were free from all pest and in perfect condition upon moving into our new home. We would highly recommend them for anyone in need of a storage facility!
Super nice owners that will work with you on anything you may need! They definitely take care of their facility. They have a nice gate that always works and a camera system that is constantly monitored. I've always felt safe storing my things here.
